I left my previous company in Aug 2008. They given me the exp and releaving letter in sep 2008 and told that your money settlement will done in some time. My last month salary is still pending. I send him mail many times but they are not in mood to give that money. What all the steps i can use . Please reply me.

Hi, May i plz know which company were u working for??
Ideally they should not hold your salary and should definately make the F&F settlements by now.
Still if they have not done till now...plz make sure to mail them the same keeping some 1 from the higher mgmt in loop.
So that if they are not aware of, should be buzzed with your case.

Dear Golu,
You must send a formal request letter to your HR Manager with a copy marked to the Head of the Organisation. This letter must be sent thry Registered post with A.D. The acknowledgement thus received bu you, must be kept as a proof for future use.
Hope this might work in your favour.

I feel this is taking longer then expected for the F & F more then 6 months for F & F even after considering recession is a long long time..... (Hope you have left the Company in good faith and completed the valid notice period and proper handover was done from your side...)
I hope you have already sent mails to the HR, your reporting managers, heads till now.. Dont just mail to HR keep everyone in the loop so that everyone is aware of the same and the news spreads accross the organization.....
Mention in the mail that you are looking at serious legal action and mention it that you have copied this mail to your legal advisor. If this does not work erally recomend you to go for some serious legal action against the company.

I Think Sourabh Deval has give a real good solution to your problem. You should let them know that you are thinking of Legal action if the F&F is not done also please have proof for all these things.
