Hi All,
I have a query regarding probation period, i am working in a IT company, 1.5 yrs old company and 60 employee, i was the 1st HR recruited here..in my company everyone whosoever joins have a probation period of 6 months, but if we recruit 3+yrs of experience guy as Sr. Software Engineer, then the probation period should be of 3 months, what i feel... but my boss don't agree that, he says for everyone it shld be same.. but i feel their shld be som diff in fresher or Sr. person.... can any one help me out wat shld i do in this situtation....

dear shilpa
it is not necessary to have diiference in probation period.it is your internal policy but in my view probation period should be same for all.
actually what is the need of probation?
you can see his way of working ,performance ,behavour etc
length of service does not matter for all these things.
