Dear all,
Recently we terminated one apprentice due to absenteeism for more than 25 days.
Following procedures were done., the fellow was absent from 26th Feb,
He was called after two days, his father told that he has got some problem, the father was told to give a written leave application citing the exact reason for getting absent. that they didn't do, again we waited for some days and send a warning letter to appear soon, for that also no reply was there, and after some days the apprentice rang up and said that he is ill, for which he was informed that to give in writing with medical proof, which was also not done by the apprentice. we waited till 20th March and send the termination letter by registered post. All this has been discussed with the apprentice advisor, and copy of all letters were send to him also by registered post.
Now after getting the termination letter, the apprentice and his father are pressurizing us to take him back, we have rejected all they say.
I want to know that whether the whole procedure was done is right and in case of furthur pressure from their side, what has to be done.
Seniors pls give your valuable comments.
Thanks and regards.
