As per Gratuity Act :
After completion of 5 years of continous service He / She eligible for gratuity .
My question is whether any ammendment passed that after completing 1 year of service he/she eligible for gratuity.

As per the Gratuity act is concerned there has not been any change/amendment from 5 to 1 year. The Maternity leave has been modified, but only for Government employees. As per the new rules, the leave 3 months maternity leave has been increased to 6 months(3 months pre n post delivery), and additionally the female employee can avail 2 years paid leave any time till the child turns 18. So, if u are in some Govt. Org, the rule is applicabl to ur employees.

this is surprising that i too saw a article of maternity leave to be raised to six months with numerous additional benefits, but its under progress and not yet passed as BILL,
this will surely make an big impact in todays industrial scenario, hope this is for the govermental organisation and not for the private sectors,
discussion regarding this will make more worthfull, guys putforth your views regarding this

As per the Gratuity act a employee is eligible only after 5 year of complietion of his service & there is no Changes or amendment on this. The Maternity leave is changed to 3 month to 6 month but only for Govt. employee.
