The notice period for an employee on probation could be anything from 7 days to 30 days. If there is no written down policy, the call should be taken based on how much time the individual has been in the organization & the extent of his/her involvement in projects. The notice period must in any case adequately allow for a smooth handover & knowledge transfer.

In our Organisation, notice period is mentioned as 2 months on probation and 3 months after probation for clerical cadre. But it is not mentioned about the payment terms if any one goes before two months on probation.
I want to know is there any rules for notice period on probation and after probation depending on the category the employee works.
