Hi Seniors,
I have a doubt if a employee joins a new compan, if he wants to transfer his/her old PF account to the current company then should the HR be approached or he can do it directly with the documents given by HR.What is the standard practice, please let me know on the same.

Dear Babu,
In case you joined a new company and want to continue or transfer your previous pf no.You have to submit PF form 13 to your current employer. Its PF transfer form, your previous employer will fill this form then you have to submit this form to your current employer will complete the remaining information and they will submit your pf transfer form to local PF office.Than your pf transfer will be done within 15 to 20 days.

Dear Sauran,
Find the attachment of Form 13 and go through it, you can understand the process. It better to submit directly in PF office after completing the formalities by both companies, rather than submitting it to your present HR department.

Dear Babu,
The first priority is your pf transfer if HR department of your current organization will do it on their end than there is no need to waste your important time as you newly joined the organization.
Best Wishes for your new jobs.
