hello i need to work out leavers attrition rates only but am confused...
can someone work a formular backwards and tell me how it was calculated..
if my closing headcount was 1736.... leavers were 33, how does that equate to 21%? annualised...(rounded up)
the same with the following...
closing 1081..leavers 14...result 18% annualsed.?
closing 1672 ..leavers 20...result 20% annulaised....
are these resultss correct..
also how do i calculate a rolling attrition rate/..
say i have leavers from month 1, plus leavers from month 2...and closing balance from month 2....what willbe the combined attrition for month 2..( annulised?)
does any one have a calulator sheet they can send me... i dont want to add averages , just confirmed leavers for the month against a closing headcount for the month...
this is very urget..helpppppppppppppppppppppp!!!
i have a caculation as per below..
(closing balance)plus a+b....a+b are leavers for 2 months /2 X12/100
is this correct

Hi,
Attrition Rate = No. of resigned of that month/ Available manpower * 100
For example, if in any of the starting day of previous month the manpower was 80 and during that month 5 resigned and 10 joined.. then on the last day of the month Manpower would be 80-5+10 = 85
So Attrition rate = 5/85*100
Hope, the query must been solved now..

Hi,
The formula for calucluating the annualised attrition % is as follows
=(Actual number of employees who have quit/Average headcount for that period)*12/The month that u are calculating the % for
Jan Feb March April
eg: No of Attrites 5 10 0 5
Headcount 100 125 112 110
& if u are calculating this for the month of April
so the calculation would be =((5+10+0+5)/Average of (100,125,112,110))*12/4
Hope this helps..
Warm Regards
Shweta
