Dear Pon
Agree with your comments...
I have shared this video with my colleagues... One of them observed the number plate of the scooter which is starting from KL... So this is the innovation from a Keralite brain... Saluting that brain with a request to use the same for some great innovation instead of innovating something which can be very dangerous to human life....
However thanks for a laughter moment...

Mallus are known for innovations as well as short cut methods. I remember the derailed coaches of a train were extricated by the malapuram kaakkas (riggers) at kadalundi backwaters in Malapuram Dt using the desi lifting methods when Indian railway did not have such facilities to extricate those coaches. I think they were awarded and paid handsomely. It happened around 2 decades back.

Hi all,
Since it appeared in my recent mail let me put some comments (seems to be an old issue). Those who can't think may feel shame about it. We should appreciate the brain behind it. In Kerala the construction workers are mainly from outside Kerala. If any one of them found an otherwise thrown out vehicle and got it modified to ease his job I think we cannot blame it. Most of the inventions are shaped out in the field, may be from the brain of a common man (necessity is the mother of inventions). Then it goes for improvements, modifications and mass productions. Then the corporate world gets involved with the business eye. I think we can see there are many such inventions/ modification in various parts of our country by the common man who cannot afford costly machines.
Thanks
Ramadas
