I have crated leave policy for my company as per shop and establishment act for different state and availed 18 Privilege leave and carry forword of 45 no's of leave per year.
My boss want to make it 21 days privilege leave and carry forword leaves of 15 no's, but I couldn't get any supportive for this statement.
Casual leave and sick leave was removed by my boss and she wants to avail only privilege leave to employee.
Now she asked me to find out way out i.e. justification for her statement.
Anyone can help me.

Hi,
Leave Policy to be followed as stipulated in the respective Act and leave rules cannot be formed as per the whims and fancies of your Superior. You need to caution your Boss that removing CL &SL will be a violation against Labour Laws.

First examine each & every state S&E Act applicable in your case for grant of minimum statutory CL, SL,PL & accumulation of PL. If you want to grant all these leaves as per applicable S&E Act then there is no need of making leave policy but if your interested in granting better leaves in place of statutory leaves then you should declare it for all affected employees.

Under Shop & Establishment Act, 18 days EL is fine. However, 8 days CL has to be given apart from EL. You will get supportive posts in Cite HR itself on the same.
Regarding EL encashment, the unutilized EL has to be en-cashed at the end of prescribed period. It can't be half way done.
