Is there any requirement under the CLRA Act that the employer needs to provide the space for the workers to take their lunch where canteen facility is not provided?

Dear member,

Yours is a very strange question. It is appalling too!

Why does your company need to find out the requirements of CLRA or any other act to provide a place to take lunch? Should you not be doing it on your own? If the place is not provided, then how will they take lunch? While standing or squatting?

Please note that regular employees or contract employees are humans first and then are the employees. Therefore, protecting human dignity is the primary responsibility of the employer. If humans are stripped of their dignity, they are reduced to animals.

Successful companies have become successful because they treated their employees very well and did not place them on par with the animals. Therefore, first, decide whether to grow or stagnate.

Thanks,
