Hi,

You claim you work as HR Executive for 6 years. So what are your roles and responsibilities as HR Executive ? What are your day to day tasks ?

Changing Industry will not be a solution.. even you can formulate HR Policies in your current organization (Civil Sector), handle statutory compliance etc. Do you face any restrictions in implementing HR policies in the current industry ? Most of the times it all depends on the efforts and intentions of the individual towards job will bring the desired result.

You can formulate some HR policies based on your current experience and also based on your Organization's requirement and put forth to your Management for approval. If you have any doubts you can present here for more value addition.

Road construction is an ever-green industry and will have greater scope in the coming days. The nature of the industry is changing with more mechanisation and robotics entering in a big way. So, the HR policy has to orient itself towards the changing scenario. You will have to work on your organisation's strategy and approach in dealing with these issues. Accordingly, there is a need to design manpower acquisition and retention policies. As regards statutory compliances, you will have to see with regard to each of the statutes applicable to your industry and prepare a table giving the datewise compliances required. Once you go through the annual cycle, thereafter it is more of a repetition of the same events.
Incidentally, you need to pay attention to your communication skills.
