Hi,
We are having medi-claim for employees and their family members. So far on confirmation of the employee , he has to fill -in the Insurance medi-claim form and on successful approval a medi-claim policy is issued in his name.
The Concerns
1) Error in form filling 2) improper documents submission
thus delay in getting the policy
3) Company has to make individual payment on each renewal hence monitoring is difficuly
Possible solutions
1) We opt a company medi-claim and each new entry and exit is intimated to Insurance service provider
2) Each Employee buy the policy of his choice and company will reimburse the Premium amount Fixed as per Grade.
I need to know what industries practices generally / best practice.
We are based at Baroda and it has best of the medical facilities.
Look forward to the inputs. You may personally share on
regards

Hi Hardik,
Instead, you can tie up with an insurance provider or TPO, they will carry the headache of filing in the details. If an employee has not given supportive documentation for the same then you don't need to pay for that employee's insurance till it is active. Corporate medical insurance goes with employee no and even if the DOB is not matching + or - 2 years, that would not be an issue.
