Hi All,
My company deducts Rs.780/- as PF for employees who are drawing more than Rs.6500/- also. Is this a correct practise? Do you have anything in black and white that supports this?
Thanks,
M Parmar

Dear M.Parmar,
The ceiling limit of salary for EPF is Rs. 6500. i.e The statutory obligation is only upto ceiling limit. Beyond ceiling, it is optional.
This is the case of those already registered with PF. Rgarding a new employee whose salary is above ceiling limit, the employer is not obliged (statutory) to remit PF.
