Hi,
I have some queries on the Employee Welfare component in Salary, It is under reimbursement category and mentioned that i can claim for Car operating/Conveyance/Telephone Bill/Entertainment/Attire for self.
Now my queries are,
1) Do we need to submit bills for the claim?
2) What all things can be considered for Entertainment? Will it be Internet/Cable? Please list them all.
3) Will only the office attire considered under employee welfare? (I dont know yet if there is any dress code in the new company)
4) Is it taxable component?
Kindly let me know as to how i can claim maximum of the Employee Welfare component.
Thanks in advance for your replies/help.

Dear Navin

I think this will be help full to you

1 Car -operating Expenses 1. Submit original stamp receipt for Driver’s salary, Original Petrol/ Diesel bills, Original Maintenance bills

2. Original bill for Car Hire

2 Telephone Reimbursement Landline / Mobile bill connection should be registered on the concerned employees name

3 Entertainment Hotel - Food Bills

4 Professional Pursuit Original Payment Receipt for skill up gradation program/ course

5 Periodicals Newspaper, Books, Magazines

6 Office Wear Allowance* employees can claim Office Wear allowance by producing the Original Bills for :

Gents: Shirts, Trousers, Ties, Coats, Shoes, Socks

Ladies: Sarees, Churidars, Trousers, Shirts, Shoes

- Not More than Rs.18000/-p.a.

These are the components available to choose, however an employee can choose minimum two or all the above to match with the total monthly entitlement as a reimbursement. yes there is need to submit the bills as per amount mentioned in salary structure.
