Dear Head HR,

The information provided by you is inadequate. Please confirm to us the nature of your industry, what is your finished product, how the sales calls are handled i.e. is it a direct sale, telephonic sale etc., how many salespersons are being employed, how many supporting members are employed, the nature of the work of the supporting members and so on.

Furthermore, this is a professional forum. The members who are HR Heads are expected to write posts that reflect their seniority. There was no difference between the heading and the main body of your post. I had to edit the heading. Therefore, the situation merits learning a lesson or two on business writing and then raising a post.

Thanks,

What Mr. Dinesh Divekar has been mentioned is absolutely correct. From general point of view what I feel that your organization has already been introduced incentive scheme for sales team and it is probably based on sales target.

For the supporting team members you may think one simple incentive scheme where 70% of the incentive amount target may be based on business result and 30% may be on individual performance. Suppose the target for one supporting team member is 10% of yearly cash component which may be 10% of 3 lakh = 30,000/- for a year. 70% OF 30,000/- i.e. 21,000/- will be paid if the targeted PBI is 100% reached. It may vary 20% up and down and accordingly the payment will vary. Rest 30% i.e 9000/- will be based PMS score .
