Hi, You wanna come back and have a good experience implies that you are familiar with the culture and working style here in India and you are from India, right??

Well you have a really good experience but if you wanna come back to India, you have to get a job offer and that wud not be good to leave your current stable job and life of there...but why you willing to come back???

And if you are planning to come back to India for rest of your life, you can come here first and later can apply for jobs at your own..im sure you will get a good job soon but we cant say how much will you get bcz the location you are residing now, the culture, working style and life are much different and you also know this. So in that case its totally upto you what you wanna do??

You need to decide what you want?? You wanna reside back to India or just wanna come here with expectation to get more and hire earnings.wht??? Need to realize this first and later decide what you want and have to do??

Hope you find this appropriate and will understand my point

Dear Anil Arora
Thanks for your quick reply, right now i am in UAE, having government job, working as a system admin/engineer my current CTC 18lakhs indian rupees.i am feeling i am not growing and if you are with family you will not safe much.
I have seen my friends who are in india they are earning well as saving but here we cannot save much if with family. i have spend almost 7 years now.
I am watching india closely and we are progressing in every field and i want to come back and be a part of this development.I know there will be lot of difference in my salary but i want to know so that i will prepare my mind before i come and i would like to come with offer so that the moment i land i will not be jobless and slowly i will adjust to indian life.
this is my plan, give me your feedback. How to get an offer while working here itself. This is bothering me.

hmm well in that case, you need to apply for jobs by online application but one thing you need to keep in your mind that you'd have to attend interviews and for this your presence will be expected. And you cant have any interview in India by residing there.

Second, dear it is not like that you will not get any good job soon. You have a good experience and ofcourse have a strong candidature, you can come here and then execute your plans easily. You are willing to come back here with family as you said above, and you'd have some relatives i suppose, they can help you out. Also when you have finally decided that you are looking for this option and wanna come back permanently along with your whole family, therefore i wud suggest you to do it and try to search job from here.

Also you can apply from there for job by Job Portals if you really thinks that wud be the easiest way, but again i wud saggust you to think about it once..

I wont say that you can get job offer by applying from your current location bcz of technology that have made our big world, very small and we can apply and get job offers from anywhere, anytime in the world. Also there are numbers of employers who will always in search for good profile/candidature/experience and hiring the peoples from out side India and around the world ..just need a click!!!

Hope now you'd have an idea what to do and where to go...Best of Luck

I understand you concern bcz i also have seen this in the past and would suggest you

Hi,
Its not like you cant give interview by being there in UAE. as one of my friend relocated from USA to india with job offer in his hand. He gave interview online and telephonic interviews, and with that he got offer and and also ticket expense from that company and now he is enjoying his life and job in India.
Hence I can suggest you that you start applying for job and also give interviews. You will definetly get job in India. And then without any tention you can move to India with job offer in your hand. But for this you have to keep patience and you have to try hard to get job here.
Good Luck to you...

As Vaidehi has suggested, try searching out and applying for suitable jobs while you are still in UAE.
You can negotiate to have a telephone interview or even on Skype so they can see you and you see them.
The world has shrunk, anything is possible now.
It all comes down to someone needing the skills and experience you have and being willing to go the extra mile to get you on board.
Given the distance etc, you also are going to have to go the extra mile by having a top notch resume and selling yourself well to prospective employers.
Hope that helps.

Thank you Vaidehirasal, john. I really appreciate your efforts and kind advice. I have started working hard and daily posting my resumes in monster as well as in Naukri.com.
Daily i get email from consultants, i dont know who is genuine and who is not, as i send the resume to them they never care to inform whether my resume didnt shortlisted.
Any more suggestions i welcome.
Thanks and Regards

Hi Abid,
with my limited knowledge on IT sector, there are very few companies who does go for telephonic or VC for 8 yrs exp. Normally, such opportunities are avl for Sr. ppl but not for middle level ppl like you. You may have to physically present yourself for the personal interaction but I am not sure as to whether you will be reimbursed with travel expenses. Getting 18L CTC for 8 yrs exp. may be hard here not to speak of your current tax free earnings there. This is my opinion which may not be exactly the current scenerio at IT sectors.

Hi Abid

Wish you luck with your job search in India. Its a good thought of returning home. Seniors have advised very well how you can go about it. My suggestion are :

Target which Industry amongst IT you want to explore, dont be desperate for any job which pays you well.

Research what kind of skill sets are in demand and whether you have them, if not seek to acquire them.

Draft a robust CV highlighting your work experience and your future aspirations. Arrange and scan your documents, keep them in your email for ready access. Keep your testimonials and reference ready, preferably in India.

Draft an interesting cover mail presenting your cause, be honest, express your passion towards returning to India, dont crib or whine about UAE or Current Employer.

Research list of companies which meet your criteria (location, size of the company, nature, etc)

Streamline your approach towards companies, how you want to apply (Email, Job Posting, Telephone call, Fax etc), if possible use your contacts in India, Get HR's, Hiring Manager's, Senior Employee's contact numbers and forward your application. Dont get too pushy, be smart and patient.

Network smartly on professional websites, make relevant friends, be genuine dont be shrewd.

Plan your vacations to India properly (Avoid Monsoons), shortlist companies you want to visit as walk in application. Network, Coordinate, Communicate with relevant people from targeted companies and strike a meeting, official or informal.

Prepare your mindset for salary negotiations, set your priorities right (India, Salary or Job Profile) you cant get everything in one plate.

Prepare mentally for change in Lifestyle, Inflation, Work Load, Office Politics etc. "Grass looks greener on the other side"

Your growth is in your hands, take self initiative to acquire skills and qualifications. Dont get stagnant, as you are in technology field.

You can use Various Sources to Apply and Keep track of your application, prefer to get real human contact when you apply, as compared to bulk forwarding your CV.

Research Top Consultants : Adecco, Mafoi, Manpower, Kelly etc.

Wish you all the Best
