Neha,
1. Maybe you can add spark by hving a rangoli competition.
2. Salad making competition, get all in the cafeteria and have lots of salads spread out, who ever comes with best gets a prize.
3. have different colour themes for different days. ( bollywood, traditional, all in red, very traditional and chosse best dressed )
4. have different days for different cuisines.
5. have a cultural program, get difeerent departments give them a song each and have them compete.
6. we do skits, group dances, group songs etc.
7. get all together in the cafetaria, decorate it nicely and do a puja as well.
hope it helps

Hi All,

I have been searching for few more events but all were same like Rangoli Competition, Kite flying, Cubical Decoration, Fancy Dress, Diya or Thali Decoration.

We can have One minute game show and do it on a team Basis. Like having 4 Teams and 2 to3 1 Min game show for each Team and Scoring will be given. E.g. How many candels you can light with one match stick or How Big pyramid you can make with the help of Playing cards in one min etc. Cheering and hooting both will be allowed.

Next we thought of having an Open talent Show where you can ask for Nominations may be solo or in pair or in group for Dance, Song or Laughter challenge kind of thing may be playing some instruement or doing a mimicary. All participant will be given small token of appreciation (could be any gift).

Next you can divide teams and inform them 3 to4 days ago that there will be dandiya competition where on the same song all the teams will have to perform dandiya which will be extempo and only 20 min time will be given to prepare. the team which has better coordination and outperform will be awarded.

thanks

neha,
Try to do a family carnival. If you have different floors in the office, try to arrange carnival games in different floors. in a big conference room , arrange a movie screening for kids, make it a creative stuff. the other ideas would automatically follow.
all the best.

Hi All,

I am writing here to introduce Paintball - a novel team-gaming concept that has over time proven to be a successful enabler for corporate training.

Introduction to Paintball:

Paintball is an extremely popular training module in the United States and has only recently started evoking interest in India. Effectively paintball is a real combat game played in a field – where each player has a CO2 powered marker or gun that fires paint-filled gelatine balls called paintballs; the objective is really to do or die! While the field is laden with artifacts, bunkers and other obstacles, the objective for every player is to eliminate the other team’s members by simply marking them out and shooting the opponent with a big splotch of paint; the team is victorious only if they are able to capture the opposing team flag without being shot. A battle simulation complete with equipment and uniforms, this sport is a team game.

Corporate Trainings:

In the US, paintball based corporate training sessions are a rage. This is because paintball, in essence, combines elements of strategy, planning, team-work and leadership into one fun-filled game. It has the power to adapt – depending on the training needs – from an "Eliminator" game (where each participant of every team eliminated other team members) to a "Catch the Flag" (individual sport where each participant's goal is to take possession of the flag). All this, in a battle-like field, makes the event fun, exciting and addictive – a perfect getaway from the daily chores.

About us:

Our team spent a couple of weeks in the US – learning the ropes of this business from the top fields in California and have recently started "The Paintball Club" in India. We offer multiple gaming formats to our individuals and corporate clients. We believe the sport can be an effective training tool in areas of team-work, leadership, strategy & planning.
