Hi All,
Iam planning to enroll for MBA from Sikkim Manipal University or PGDBA from Symbiosis University[SCDL] via Distance Learning Mode.
After some Research and Analysis, I found MBA from Sikkim is more appropriate. But my conscious says PGDBA from SCDL as it is also recognized all over India.
Iam confused :confused:
Will you please suggest Which One to Enroll and WHY ?

What is the specialisation you are looking for? I feel Symbiosis may be the better choice of the two in case of HR.

I would be in ur place i will chose Symbiosis program, bcoz dat univ. is much more recognised dan SMU. I insist yu to try to find out part-time course rather dan distance learning frm SDCL.
And let me tell yu dat MBA, PGDBA are just tags given, whereas MBA syllabus changes very rarely & PG courses usually have real time subjects having more importance in practical life!
But in the end it is your choice!!!!!

This preference suits mostly to your answers Naveen. I understand its complexicities of whethere which of the 2 would you choose.
First you need to assess in details you wanted...Your personal opinions.. Inclination i may say... Should you really like to get the burning candles over an MBA or the latter.
2ndly, see the accreditation and the recognition of its university. It really plays a key role in your professional career.
3rdly, have time to contemplate...weigh the advantages in either the 2... MBA has a degree recognized with a professional future ahead of you. I mean if you are targetting an applicant with MBA against the othere, which would the company make the highest choice...Good luck to you...

Why you want to go for distance learning. If you are working and having good and genuine experience in your concerned field then these certificates will help you to climb the ladder. But if you think that you will start your career after completing these courses, then I think you should give second thought on this.
Secondly for experience guy doing MBA SMU or Symbiosis is quiet same. And from company point of view, if you have done your MBA regular from recognized institute then the will give 3 point, MBA regular from other institute then will credit 2 point and if you have done distance learning courses then you will be credited only 1 point.

I would suggest you to go for distant education if only you have got a long years of working experience. Otherwise please go for regular programme.
And if your ultimate choice is online programme, I would suggest Symbiosis both from recognition and quality deliverance perspective.

m.b.a is better than pgdbm.coz the first one is a master’s degree wheras the other one is a diploma. i was in the same dilema few months back but i know the things now. go for m.b.a.

MBA is better its a master degree. The PGD is post graduate diploama which is done after Graduation and is not a Masters degree.
