Sending herewith an update on the Maharashtra Labour Welfare Fund amendment. As per the new amendment, effective from June 2024, the contribution details are as follows:
Please find attached gazette notification for the same.
- An amount of Rs. 25.00 will be deducted from each employee's salary.
- The employer will contribute Rs. 75.00 for each employee and remit contributions to MLWF on or before 15th of July or 15th of Jan
- These contributions will be made twice a year, in June and December.
Regarding your query about the applicability of this amendment to employees at the managerial level or above, the gazette notification has no information about this.
