I am working in Manufacturing Unit In Maharashtra.
Our Organisation was established in November 2018.
We have 20 Contract Employees and 25 Payroll Employees.
We have not yet Registered under Labour Welfare Fund Act, 1953.
Is it Compulsary to register under the Scheme?
Please elaborate in Brief, also please suggest How to register?

Dear Friend,
Maharashtra Labour Welfare Fund has become effective in the year 1953 and is applicable to all the companies in the state that has 5 or more persons employed.
Calculation:
Here contribution from an employee is of Rs 12/- while the employer contributes Rs.36/-. The total contribution comes to Rs.48/-.
Payable:
The periodicity is 30th June and 31st December. The last date for submission is 15th July and 15th January respectively.

yes, it is compulsory to register, from this contribution govt. gives stipened, for spects, teeths marriage as per their rules. as per performa you will have to prvide employees whole details.

I need to know that what are the benefits applies to any employee covered under LWF . In the case of death . Is there any benift to the employee family after the death of employee .?

This is the Fund administered by the state govts. thru' their respective Labour Dept. for the welfare of contributing labour. The contributions and the schemes of welfare and the methodology is as stipulated in the respective Act notified by the state govts. concerned. Since the scheme vary from state to state you should go thru' the web sites of Labour Dept. of the concerned states. A copy of Maharashtra act is attached to my previous post dt.16.5.19 you could see above,which may give you general info on LWF management.
