What type of hotel you are looking for? Many 5-star hotel appoint external agency to conduct fire and safety audit. Before having contract with the hotel, check whether the hotel has done fire and safety audit and if yes, then when it was done. Next is about women safety. Check what precautions hotel takes to provide security to women guests. Check whether CCTV cameras are working properly. Lastly, about closeness with the hospital. Check is there any hospital that located not more than half KM away from the hotel.
You may talk to your security officer and try to get more inputs from him.
