Greetings,
I work with a company which has offices all over India,
My employer is encouraging all its staff members to sign up for a mobile personal safety application (that acts like SOS in emergency) which can be used outside of office hours.
My question is that if this application fails to do what it is required to do, does my employer becomes liable under any laws that may be applicable.
Thanks

From New Zealand,
He will not be liable for failure of app.
From what I understand is that the employer is just giving voluntary help for security after working hours.
Is the employer the manufacturer or agent for such apps?
Probably he should issue a disclaimer that his idea is only to be helpful and not to be liable.
