Hello everyone. I am a law graduate from Delhi University. When I was in 2nd and 3rd year of college, I interned with an AOR and one senior advocate in Patiala house. When I completed my LLB from DU , it was very difficult for me to find a job. I was the only person in my whole family with a law background. This was the main reason I did not have any jack or references in any of the law firm. After my internships I realized that practicing is something I do not want to get into. Within two days of my last exam of LLB I got a job as a legal associate at L*****O.com. There was no growth, we just had to make calls to the clients and convince them to hire a lawyer. Thats it. It was a waste of time. I always wanted to work in a corporate law firm as I was from commerce backround. Also I knew that it has very good scope. Due to the lack of opportunity I joined a labour law consultant , thinking that atleat there is something related to law that I ll learn.
In a corporate world, every company looks for a candidate who has atleast 1 or 2 years of experience. I tried hard to get into a corporate law firm but since I was a fresher, I could not get a job. If every firm wants to hire a person having 1 or 2 years of experience, how will freshers get an opportunity to gain that 1 year of experience.
Now that I have gained 1.5 years of experience in Labour laws, I realized that the scope of Labour Law is very confined. Either you have to work with a consultant the rest of your life or after 5-6 years of experience, you can open your own consultancy only if you have good investment to make.
Can anybody tell me, what should I do. How can I get a job in a corporate law firm? what is the scope of labour laws.

Dear friend,
Profession of lawyer is such that it takes time to find feet. Real practice of a lawyer starts after 40. Therefore, if you wish to be a successful lawyer then show patience and continue whatever you are doing.
To develop yourself, two things are important. One is to learn how the arguments are made in the court. Therefore, attend the cases to get first-hand exposure. The second one is drafting. To do this, improve your command over English, improve grammar also. In your above post, there are grammatical mistakes. Not only one should be lawyer but when he/she writes, the written post also should appear that it from a lawyer.
Thanks,
