Hello Everyone
My Name is Puneet and my question is about forcing someone for treatment in govt. hospital instead of private once.
In my company a worker went in esic dispensary and told doctor for refer to private hospital for tests (x-ray, etc.) for better treatment. But doctor not refer him to private hospital and refer him to civil hospital. Here I put my question that if someone treated through civil hospital than why govt. charge esic contribution from both (employees and employer). In civil hospital we get treatment without contribute esic. People facing problems in civil hospitals
1. Fix test day.
2. Timing issues.
3. Unnecessary crowd. (all patient)
4. Faulty Machines.
Etc.
Kindly give me suggestion regarding this.

Esic itself has its own infra structure of hospital, clinics and dispenceries across the country. They have huge number of doctors on panel who work for esic through dispensaries in various areas.Esic being autonoums govt organisation can refer to best possible nearest hospitals which may include empanneled private hospitals or even civil hospitals in vicinity based on non availibity of such facilities with esic and on recommendation of medical committee of esic if so required.
Now the problem is of interest, intention and authorisation to recommend or refer treatment to any any hospital.
ESIC has a medical committee, which includes doctors, speciallists, authorised adminstrators and officers who have the power to study the case, and recommend best options of treatment and compensations in lieu of treatment.
Having said this I too agree that it is however very difficult to deal with esic in similar case of refrences and compensation. Its time consuming too.
However it is also true that at esic hospitals employees contributing, can very well take treatment and approach higher authority through proper channel.
