Hi Reena
CiteHR Rocks.... Give some time CiteSALES will also start rocking
As for In-serial and In Movie Advertising
I agree that these are good mediums to advertise and TOI had done it quite nicely in Humtum
Coca-Cola with Hritik Roshan in Couple of Films, Bournvita in Koi Mil Gaya, Rajdoot in Hero...
However, when it comes to TV serials... these people are over doing it...
Showing a showroom or using of product is okay, but if the story is twisted and lengthened to promote a particular brand [jassi jaisi koi nahin] it is not acceptable
The Serials and Films are suppose to Entertain people, if they can promote a product without hampering the Entertainment Aspects it is acceptable, but while promoting a brand the serials and films become boring, it is not acceptable...

Hi Reena
Till date I have not seen a movie which has overdone the advertising... Anyway I don't see much movies... If you can give me a couple of names
Some of the movies which do brand promotion are 007-James Bond Movies which promotes BMW vehicles.... plus couple of other brands such as OMEGA watches.... But essentially they don't disturb the story nor the character....
In some of the Indian serials recently, what we have seen is that the Story and screenplay is specially changed for promoting a product / brand, which I believe should not be done....
Anything which deviates from its core purpose [movies/serials for entertainment] would not succeed in longrun...

Yeah! I agree with Azmal.. Anything which is done within limits is acceptable.
For eg. If u watch curent serial Kareena- Kareena, She uses one line "Kyon ho gaya na kuch ekdam alag.. something of this sort for a candy".. it doesn't distract viewers attention and flow of the serial.
