Dear Sirs, Recently we made a mistake in entering Date of Joining of an employee, entered May 2020 instead of May 2019. This was a case of incomplete documentation and we were to credit backlogs with penalty.
Now How can be the date of joining be changed in portal? Should we exit the employee and rejoin him with old date? UAN is linked with Aadhar.
Please help as my search didnt yield any results.

One year after actual joining you are entering or registering an employee? Don't you know that this would lead to payment of interest and damages? There is no simple way out nor should you exit and rejoin an employee. Due to oversight one may enter a past date as DOJ as against the present date. This is different. Only thing that you have to do is to approach the EPF Office and do manual correction.
