While Working I registered a company but never commenced any business but wanted to close since Law of India does not allow it to be closed prior to one year of its incorporation we waited for a year and proceeded for closure. During this period I was Employed with a Company and still I am. Will this cause a problem. My Gut says it should not be a problem Becuase I have all the documents and affidavit for closure of the company as well as proof that company never done any business in the form of CA certificate.

There are no specific provisions under the Indian labour laws barring dual employment except for Section 60 of the Factories Act, 1948.(to my knowledge)

The efficiency of the employee will reduce as he may be too tired by handling two jobs at the same time.Man is not machine
The second job may interfere/clash etc with the first job .
There may be issues of breach of confidentiality.
Various issues as Fatigue, poor attentiveness etc may arise.
In your case since company is defunct and non functional should not create an issue.
However it would be advisable to see what exactly your appointment letter says.
Many companies include that working for any other organisations is unauthorised during current employment.
