HR Analytics is definitely a sphere which will help any HR professional. Are you planning to go for it because it is trending these days? Do you have interest in HR Analytics? Do you think it will be a part of your KRAs in the near future?
I would suggest you to go for a good book on HR Analytics and learn the basics.
Predictive HR Analytics- Mastering the HR metric by Martin R Edwards and Kirsten Edwards (Kogan Page) is a good book.
Then start applying the knowledge in your present job and if you still feel, go ahead for a course.
IIM Rohtak’s course is comprehensive. Aon also has a good course.
Most importantly, practice whatever you learn. Don’t go for a certification just because it is good.

Dear Sir,
Thank you so much for sharing your valuable guidance.
Yes, I have read articles telling how HR Analytics would be useful and trending in the coming days. But couldn't find detail information about it anywhere online. And this is why i thought to go for a course. There are number of online courses but not sure if it is valid or not.
Yes, rather than just getting a certification, i want to learn it and use it in my current job.
Thanks a lot for this book name. It will be very useful for me to understand the basics and clear my concepts.
Sir, I also would be glad if you could share some best books to read and refer for HR Professionals to upgrade my knowledge.
Thank you soo much!!

Dear Pranita,
Good to know that you would like to enhance skills in the HR domain. The following needs to be noted in this connection:
a) HR Analytics demands a basic understanding of Maths and especially Stats. Therefore, please check whether you have upgraded or refreshed knowledge on the basic statistical methods.
b) HR Analytics also demands mastery over MS Excel. What is your competence in Advance Excel?
c) Most of the tools of HR Analytics are driven by software. Have you worked in any software-driven environment where advanced HR tools and techniques are used?
d) Though HR Analytics is gaining momentum, it is restricted to the top-notch companies only. It is yet to penetrate to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Therefore, please check the kind of company that you work in. To implement the HR Analytics software, will you get support from your management?
e) Knowledge of HR Analytics or even competence over it one thing and having an authority to implement knowledge is another. In many companies, HR Department is nothing but good old Personnel Department. They are forced to play second fiddle. So what is the value of HR in your company?
f) ROI on HR Analytics: - Most of the HR are unable to calculate ROI on their HR interventions. They are known more for hobnobbing with the jargon than calculating the business impact. Against this backdrop, please be clear on how the introduction of HR Analytics will save the funds or at least how to calculate the ROI.
My above views need not be construed as negative views. Yes, one should strive to upgrade the knowledge. But then at the same time, one should be clear of the end result also.
Thanks,
