Dear Shalini Singh,
Your article is very well written. I wish I had seen this much earlier.
You have solicited a feedback (many years have passed during which time no discussion has taken place) and with fervour hope I am presenting my views.
As I read the article, I find that you have placed a greater emphasize on WHAT IT MEANS TO BE EMOTIONALLY INTELLIGENT rather than WHAT EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE is. Thus you have made a nice departure off the beaten track, as many choose to describe the five features of Emotional Intelligence and stop at that.
Linkage with leadership has been brought out very well.
Only in the last paragraph you have stressed about the first two attributes namely Self Awareness and Self Control.
The Merits and Demerits of EI are also candidly brought out.
Two pages are too short but for which you might have shared even more details.
On the whole you have presented a very good unique article.
