Hi,
Obviously when the employee is out of coverage he /she cannot claim ESIC benefit. However if an employee during the mid of contributions period ( Apr to sep & Oct-Mar) by virtue of hike in salary come out of ESI ceiling salary then the employee continue to contribute ESI till the end of contribution period and also eligible for ESI benefits till the end of contribution period.
