Selecting a project inovles 2 factors: one, what are the sponsoring organisation's needs (they will have a few pressing problems for which they would like solutions); two, what does the student feel passionate about? The latter is important, as only when the right project is chosen there will be motivation to keep continuing in when facing difficulties.
Though Title comes first in a report, it's the last thing one should worry about; however, the field of study is required at the outset to get approval from the institution's authorities.
