One of my friends work in a multi national organization & he was interdicted from the job on the grounds of complaining unethically the top management overseas on some unclassified details regarding their job from the local management.

They have threatened & has obtained his resignation by spying to his electronic communications. Is this legal ? can be challenged?

Hi,

In nutshell Unethical Behavior resulted in unethical separation !

You haven't shared detailed information. In what way Employer / Employer's business got impacted ?

Your Friend had lost the job due to his unethical behavior whereas because of his unprofessional behavior his Employer might had lost their credibility in the market ,productivity of the company might had declined as a result company might had incurred financial loss as well.

With regard to your question "whether employer can spy the electronic gadgets of the employee " it depends. If the gadgets are provided by the employer in certain countries it is legal employer has the right to monitor. Under U.S. law, any device that an employer has given to an employee is the property of the company, and therefore the employer has every right to monitor that device, including monitoring Internet traffic, GPS, and viewing screen content.

Without knowing detailed information can't comment whether employer can be challenged for this.
