If an employees who has left service 3 months ago and now passed away. Could his nominee claim EDLI benefits under EPF and Misc provision Act as the member was no more in insurable employment from last 3 months? If yes please provide suitable reference for it.

EDLI Benefit is payable only for Death while in Service.in the present case, death has taken place subsequent to leaving Service.Consequently eligible for Withdrawal of PF & EPS Pension for Spouse & Children or Parents as applicable
