Hi friends,
there is no formal salary structure in the company I work. when a staff resigns, management decide to hike his salary by 200-1500, depending on each case. As a result, personnel who have worked for 10 years in the company now draw as much (as little) as a newcomer with 2-3 years experience.
I need help in starting a salary grading system. Please comments welcome.

so sad to know bout such kind of salary structure... what then is the objective of such degrading structure. The HRD should then start thinking of a motivational structure in lign with what the company can afford to give per performance base and not just on longetivity.
