Dear Seniors,
Planned to do 2 diploma courses at ALL INDIA INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT & STUDIES (AIIMAS, CHENNAI)
All India Institute of Management Studies
1. DIPLOMA IN HUMAN RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT (6 months- distance learning)
2. DIPLOMA IN LABOUR LAWS (6 months - distance learning)
I called and when I was speaking with the counselor over there, I came to know that
1. No classes will be taken for any of the courses
2. Can do two courses at a time
3. End of the 6month exam will be conducted and the result & certificate will be given at the end of 7th month
4. Certtificate given by AIIMAS valid all over world.
When I asked the counselor to give me 2 references of their previous batch students, she refused to give by saying ""IF YOU ARE INTERESTED JOIN, WE ARE NOT ABLE TO TAKE EFFORT SEARCHING FOR PREVIOUS BATCH CANDIDATES NUMBERS AND GIVE IT TO YOU"
Kindly let me know weather doing diploma at AIIMAS would help me in India and in abroad as well ??

This is the first time i am getting to hear the name of this college , after me being in Chennai for quite a long time.
I happen to visit thier website after seeing your post, and could understand that this institution is not affiliated to any university (UGC Approved) in India.
If the courses are not provided / issued from a UGC recognized university (through a college affiliated college) , it will not be recognized in India and abroad.
I would strongly suggest you to look up to something better and worth pursuing

please be informed that AIIMAS is not UGC granted, thus its value is less then any granted University.
and just to inform you that AIIMAS is just a management institude not a university,
so i suggest you better to go Kamraj university,Ignou,osmania etc university to do a diploma courses, and beleive it has more valid both in india & abroad, as myself about to join in Postgraduate diploma in international business managament, as its suggested by my seniours..here in abroad.
kindly prefer diplomas thro Universities..

please be informed that AIIMAS is not UGC granted, thus its value is less then any granted University.
and just to inform you that AIIMAS is just a management institude not a university,

As Mr. Sayeed referred, you can opt for any university which is UGC recognized and provides you with a diploma in correspondence mode.
To name a few, Madras University, Madurai Kamaraj University, Annamalai University and Pondicherry University. Visit the websites of these universities and gather more details on the courses
