In our company we have asked employees to take their dependents to have a photosession for ESIC smart card.But no employee has turned up, they have their own reasons like mother is not with them and husband is working in states. In such cases what can we do to help employees.
Please try to solve my issue.

need not worry ,you just convey this thing to esic branch manager... even i was also facing the same problem..
At instant you can ask the employee to go for this photo session later on whenever this camp would be organised by this authority intimate the IPs to bring their dependent for photo session.....
educate these employee about the benefit that they would get through it I am confident ,they will certainly do ......
two card will be issued by the esic ,one for the IP and other ones for the dependents. through this card he/she can avail benefit at any location or state
these all thing need to be conveyed to all employee ..

Arranged the meeting with workers. and try to explain benefit of ESIC Smart card.
I was also facing the same problem but after workers meeting solve it. So You please aware your worker about ESIC smart card Benefits and make a list of all IPs & Singed same. I am sure your problem solve out.

One more thing is it compulsory that they should go to ESIC hospitals and not general hospitals.
Employees say that they visit general hospitals and then claim in ESIC.
Is this possible.Please help.

Dear Kavitha, This is not possible because ESIC have his own hospitals for only purpose of IPs Treatment. if ESIC doctors transfer IPs to another general hospital then employees claims for same.

for biometric cards, you can ask to your local ESIC office, they will guide you for arrangement of ESIC camp.
With the help of Local office you can ask the WIPRO's person to visit your office or any suitable place for photographs and finger prints. For this you have to set a particular day or place where your registered I P will visit with their dependents.

You have hit the pandora's box. Currently, as pointed by one expert, one needs to get the apporval/recommedation from ESIC hospital before taking medication in general hospital.
This is exactly, what is not so attractive of our ESIC schemes and I would suggest you also have a Group Medical Insurance scheme for all your staff.
The Group Insurance are very economical and with loads of benefits to staff. The staff will bless you if you get them approved by your management.
I am sure our Labor ministry are listening to branded working middle class Society of this country, who pay taxes and who are not even given the basic coverage of Medical expense.

I am happy for ur concern about ESI....... I hope ur meeting will get fruitful since it is learnt that ur concern is @ Hyderabad, in hyderabad many employees are getting benefit from ESI Dispensaries/ESI Model Hospitals/Tie-up hospitals and u please highlight the following few points also:
i. Within few months ESI is going to commence its new Super Speciality Hospital @ Hyderabad (Sanathnagar);
ii. ESIC will provide certain % of reservations to the IP's children in the seats of their Nursing and Medical Institutes;

There is one simple solution on it, just take care while filing the form next on wards just type 1 member as nominee, for esic and in case on the above issue it is not compulsory that whole family has to go, just talk to the esic person will take care of it, as they manage it,
Replying to this our company also faced such type of problem, but we manage to do the photosession with 1 to 2 member only.
