ESIC provides basically madical coverage to employees.It has provisions to facilitate medical treatment facility through their hospital, clinics, and empanelled hospitals.It also has provision to provide financial help against their absences due to medical reasons.
Also It extends insurance facility to medically disabled personnel who have became disabled due to the reasons arising out of work or due to work or on duty injuries etc
However to avail facilities, the stipulated procedures need to be followed which includes timely contributing to esic and maintaining all records related to esic and insured person.
