Is worker required to complete 30 days in a calendar year to avail declared holiday (national + festival)?
For example : A worker joins on 10th of a month, a declared holiday falls on 20th of the same month. Will the workers get the paid holiday ??

Only for National Holidays there is no eligibility and for Festival Holidays an employee should be in service for 30 days prior to that Holiday.

The provisions regarding wage payment for Festival Holidays are similar in all southern States (copies attached). I'm not aware of the provisions as per Sec 5 of the N & FH Act in Northern States. If it is contrary to the provisions of the southern States, pl upload a copy. Moreover Companies are required to follow the Statute and some Companies do not follow the statute due to ignorence or liberal approach.
