I am a payroll employee with PF deductions .
However, due to pandemic - we had paycuts last year and complete Zero salary in May and June where we were asked to work voluntarily due to Revenue not being adequate to pay employees.
As I am into placements; those 2 months were hectic for placing the students into jobs and thus I worked voluntarily and they made us sign the letter as well.
However, after some months, we realised that they had not paid our PF amounts to EPFO for May and June - only verbally informing us when asked that logically since it is voluntary work without pay then how could they deposit PF ?
I have doubts on the same - please share your thoughts whether they had to still credit our PF account or not for the said months.
Thank you
