Dear All,

One of my friend and the member of this cite K. Ravi can not login from his ID coz it has been banned by moderators.... He got many warnings from cite hr for his replies to other peoples.... Sometimes he used harsh words to illogical posts... and many of times he shared a valuable knowledge with us.

Do u think that it is right that he can not access his login in future... For one mistake his id should be banned.... Is it correct? I need your suggestions on this. Please reply...
Thanks
Suman

Hi,
I agree that sometimes K Ravi used some wrong words but one should also keep in mind that he has done for some illogical post. We also should not forget about the value that he has added and the kind of good knowledge he has shared with all of us.
Its always feel bad if someone around you is not available for this reason.
I think that he should be given one more chance (if they want with a warning).
Regards,
Sanjay

Dear Members / Moderators
The idea of banning an ID is to stop the person from posting in future at all.
Say for instance if I am banned, I could still use another account and post comments.
What I think would be good is - if the post/comment is really not relevant and can create disagreement, then how about an option to fade that post itself? i.e to remove that comment alone? If the moderator receives more than 5 report abuse, then it can be considered for deletion. Is this possible?
Coming back to Ravi - well, I never deny that sometimes the comments are crossing the lines, but I guess it makes the debate really interesting and help people add more clarity.
I am sure all of us miss him.... I do miss his views!!

Thanks Sanjay and Ash for valuable inputs. Yes this is true that a member can access the site from other id but the thing is for one mistake the id shouldn’t be banned....

I have also worked as a Moderator for WikiPedia, Its the duty of moderator to take actions which are in favour of moderators.
But as I have seen in this post Asha Ji told Mr.Ravi has also given some valuable suggestions and inputs to Cite-HR.He should be allowed with a warning.
But Mr.Ravi and Suman Ji,
All your good work can be spoiled with one bad deed. This is nothing but Spill Over effect,Which is natural.Be perfact and play every game as a final one.Life never gives the second chance.
A request to every one: This is a Professional forum, please maintain the dignity of it.

Hi Shikha,
The person is realising for his mistake that what he wrote in the posts....In this site, sometimes people wrote personal problems in the thread and people replied the posts n crossed the lines for their comments.........
I think he should be given a chance...that he will not repeat the mistake in future........
Thanks

In my view, the banned member has to realise his mistake. He can create a new account and continue to be a valuable contributor respecting the rules, terms and conditions set by the admin team.
We all make mistake and fall, but its not the end of all. We should courageously rise up and walk further extra miles with more smiles...:icon1::icon1::icon1:....

Though all of us fight with Ravi he is one among our friends circle in cite-hr family...............I feel that warning would have been the better step instead of blocking his ID...........Its like insulting him and let me know how much time will it take for him to create another ID if he really had bad intensions.....Plz think...:(
I request the cite-hr moderators to give him a chance and unblock his ID.............we would love to have him among us...........

hmm... if Ravi was still on the forum...and this was someone else's problem.. he would have replied saying...
"Good that the moderators did it. You HR People deserve it. I dont know what you people think of yourself. Better all u people must be banned." :D
Sumna, please write an email / pvt message to the moderators and tell them ur view.. Just once, put yourself in the moderators shoes and see the situation. Theyve done it out of responsibility...
This is just my opinion... No offence meant....
