Dear Minal,
I am giving to you very simple structure of Salary Breakup:-
CTC= (what ever salary)
Basic+DA(20 % to 40 % on CTC)
HRA (40 % to 50 % on Basic +DA)
M.A (Fix 15000)
T.A (Fix 9600)
LTA (5 % to 10 % on CTC)
PF ( 12 % on Basic + DA)
Bonus (8.33 % on Basic+DA)
Gratuity (4.82 %)
Performance Incentive:-
Other Allowances:-
(Calculate acc to percentage then minus from CTC and manage rest amount as performance incentive and others allowances)
IF your company provides ESI benefit: - ESI (Total Contribution = 6.5%)
Emr:-4.75 %
Eme:-1.75 %

Dear Ms.Minal,

Any salary restructuring as well as revision is one of the important HR process and decides a lot about an orgaqnization. You have to be extremely careful in designing these policies. Any wrong working will affect employee morale as well as becomes difficult for talent retention. You have to consider many points while doing salary restructuring and should know about the basic details of your organization. I am mentioning herewith few of the details to keep handy before you start working on it:

1) What kind of business you are into?

2) Size of the organization

3) any joint venture

4) presence ( domestic whereall & international if any)

5) total manpower strength

6) present sales / FTE

7) Statutory compliances

8) Present cadres & CTC details

9) any specific burning HR issues to be taken care thru this process

10) present perfromance mgmt system

11) any specific budget / target w.r.t. CTC spend

Hope this will help you to unserstand the subject. Once you are ready with the information, we can think on actual salary restructuring. There are again many ways to tackle it.

Regards,

Santosh

Dear Ashasaini, I have a small doubt please clarify. You mentioned that M.A was 15000/- and T.A was 9600/-, Is it the maximum limit or starting pay? Regards Girish

Dear Grish, These are the maximum amounts that are tax exempted. A company can also offer more than this but that excess amount will be taxable. Minal.
