It depends on the department you are going.
But I think most government departments have quota for handicapped persons. You will qualify for that quota. But it's good if you have a personal or family contact in the department else the government employees are rarely helpful

Dear Jitesh,

For employment in Central Government posts and jobs, the standards of disability such as blindness, hearing impairment, locomotor disability are prescribed in line with the provisions of the Persons With Disabilities ( Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation ) Act,1995. I think all States and Union Territory Governments also adopt these standards. Recruitment agencies like Union Public Service Commission, Staff Selection Service Commission, Banking Services Recruitment Board, State Public Service Commissions, all Public Sector Undertakings belonging to the Centre and States notify in their employment notices the degree of admissible disabilities, disability-wise and job-wise. There are exclusive reservations not less than 3% and additional relaxation in respect of age limit for such candidates. If I were correct, the maximum standard of disability is 40%.
