I'm looking for material/document on the trends in the Compensation ( Y-O-Y hike trends, Y-O-Y Compensation averages for various experience levels etc) for the past 5 years (2005-2010) and projections for the next 5 years (2010-2015) in the IT industry, generally.
It'd be of great help if someone can share this info with me.

There's no easy way to do this. Either you have to do it yourself or take help through some consultants. If you have to do it yourself, identify your stakeholders from where you can get most valuable inputs, do a survey containing questions that will help in your information gathering and be prepared to do some serious number crunching exercise. Additionally, you should also interview some key stakeholders for specific insights.
