This is Eknath Dhauskar from Mumbai. I done a Bsc. Computer Science from Mumbai University. Currently I am working in IT firm Accenture as a software engineer. I have total 2 years of IT experience.
Now I am planning to do further study through a distance learning mode. I am planning to take distance learning PGDBA from Welingkar Institute of Management studies, Mumbai. Will it help me in my career? Please advise.
I also heard that Manipal University offers distance learning MBA. Will it be a good option? The matter of concern is that Welingkar offers PGDBA & not MBA when compared to Manipal University. Which option should I choose? Please provide some help or suggestions.

hi! in my opinion it would be better for u to do an MBA form Manipal than to do an PGDBA bcoz an MBA is always better than PGDBA..more over manipal is a reputed university too...

MBA in which specialisation ?? You are in mumbai, so why r u choosing Manipal University. Welingkar is having very good reputation in mumbai. You should go for that or otherwise you go to ICFAI , they are also offering Distance MBA. Even IGNOU is also good.
I have already done DHRM from Welingkar, Planning to do PGDHRM from Symboisis or Welingkars

But i just wanted to let u know that PGDBA course is as good as MBA cuz I'm the student of PGDBA,this is my 2nd year.
I think MIT college,pune is best for this course.
The validity for this course is 4 yrs.
U can choose your own time,place,date 4 yr exams..
Best part is there are 2 assignments per sub which includes option based questions..u get 24*7 online support.
Exams are online 1 hr per exam n if you're not satisfied with ur exam result u can reappear for the same.
anything else ur lookin for...........

If only certification is required then check for the college/university brand which is well known in the market.Since you are already working so this course is value addition.
Even IIM,Symbi,MIT they provide pgdba not mba,,but the brand are very much saleable...for these admission you may call to all these college and collect info.

Please don't ever think of going to ICFAI. as the result of that institution is harldy 5%. Better fo for PGDBA from Welinkar. As you have already done your DHRM from
Welinkar, you will get 6-8 subject as a waiver and your duration of 2 yrs PGDBA will get over is 1.5 yrs span of time.
