Respected Members, I need your valuable advise to handle HR role in a start up. Currently working in a start-up as HR Manager, after working in different renowned companies. I joined this company because I thought I can learn a lot & it will give me exposure in various HR fields. Most of the employees working here are relatives or known to management team. Only two employees, me & other one join this company through hiring process.
After joining the company, I realized that company has documented the process for ISO Audit but not willing to follow it. My challenge is to make them an ISO certified company which is informed to me during interview as they are trying from last 2 yrs.It is a challenge to follow the processes like getting training forms, HR requisition form, interview feedback in interview assessment template, employee files etc. Things are pending from Months. They are responding after one or two months of continuous follow ups. Soon I find that management is taking my follow ups in wrong way. They are thinking that I am dominating them and trying to be bossy.
Few days back, I had a HR discussion with selected candidate I confirmed him the same designation for which interviews are happening. Panels told me he is selected get details to release the offer by CEO. Because management don't reply over the emails and don't fill up any assessment sheet or requisition forms. His designation was changed without my knowledge. I came to know about it, after his offer letter was released. Later they told me that they forget to tell me. And candidate was asking why this happened.I handle it somehow. Everything (whatever they remembered to tell me) are verbally communicated to me. It is getting very difficult for me to handle the situations because I don't have any reference on e-mail.
Lack of communication within the organisation and rude employees are others issues. I request the honorable members to please guide me how to handle this kind of situations. How to implement a documented process in the company to be an ISO Certified company and make things easier for everyone.

Most of the lacunae will be revealed and tackled while ISO auditors scrutinize your records for renewal of ISO certification. Absence of proper records are viewed seriously by ISO agencies. Therefore your fight within the organisation where most of them are inter related would go in vain only. Notwithstanding you should continue to do your job which I'm sure take you to places.

I think the company you are working is entirely different then what you thought it to be. The Leadership is not interested in the things they informed you during interview. Actions speak louder than words.
Speak to the CEO sincerely and emphatically about the status in detail and ask for his unfettered support in implementing his dreams. If he he commits and supports in actual then continue otherwise you understand what to do.

Most of the companies working with relatives Staff is having this problem They feel by giving money they will renew their ISO certification .Do not fight take time see good company .

He always says he's busy. He don't come to office and operate from home only.. Do you think email will help.. I really don't want they think i am trying to be bossy or someone "know everything". One management girl who was taking care of HR part is already very rude with me and tell me that she knows how HR works. Please make employees happy and make them feel like home..That's your job.. Not involving me in any decision.. Unfortunately most of time bypass me.. Generally if any decision I take they change it..
Thank you so much Mr. YR Shirke, regarding relative staffs. Really it is hard to maintain company's decorum because of them.. They're testing my patience.. Arrogant and rude behavior with me is just getting worst... :(
