Voted as a greatest star of Stage or Screen by BBC News online users in 1999, Amitabh Bachchan needs no introduction. He is an inspiration and role-model for millions of people across the globe. Apart from winning THREE National Film Awards as best actor, he has won numerous other awards and honours. I have learned EIGHT things from this legend, which will remain with me for rest of my life.

Freedom is Discipline – Freedom is all about discipline. Have structure in life. Be on time. Keep your words and commitment. Do what you say and say what you do.

Stay Focused – Focus is very important in life. Identify your strengths. Know your weaknesses. Focus on the core. Strengthen your strengths so much that people find no time to focus on your weaknesses. Each one of us has a trait which is unique and core to our existence. Don’t let yourself deviate from your focus.

Be a Student of Life – Life is a teacher. No matter how old you get, you should not stop learning. Don’t limit yourself. Don’t create any hindrance for your learning – not your age, not your status, gender, location or religion.

Spend time on YOU – Your health and fitness is very important. Stay fit. Take out time for yourself. Take care of your body. Exercises, yoga, meditation, running, or walking, do anything you need to do to stay healthy. Develop healthy eating habits. Let go of any habit that might harm your health.

Keep Confidentiality – Irrespective of the choice of your profession, you often get access to information which is confidential. You must know what you need to share and how much you need to share. Don’t disclose any information to anybody which you are not supposed to share. Maintain secrecy. Maintain confidentiality.

Learn from your mistakes – We are human being. We all are prone to mistakes. Making mistakes is acceptable. Learn from your mistakes and don’t repeat them again.

Be your own brand ambassador – Howsoever small or large, you are your own brand. You are likely to be followed by your family and your kids. Set good examples for them to follow you. Stay accountable for your behaviour. Be honest in your dealings.

Criticism – No matter what you do, some people are likely to criticize you. They will harm you, hurt you and humiliate you. Let them do what they do. Ignore them. Don’t respond to negative criticism. Learn from it, if you need to, but always stay honest and true to yourself.

It takes a lot to be Amitabh Bachchan. Many people tried to copy him. However, there cannot be any other Amitabh Bachchan.

I agree with NATHRAO..We should take inspiration from real Hero of life not from Reel Hero..After all Reel hero is a master of acting and dancing with half naked heroins..

I appreciate and endorse the views of Nathrao. Let us stop worshipping all n sundry in any way.. Our real heroes are those who guard our nation's borders 24/7 under incessant weather conditions. We can learn lot of HR issues from their working conditions.

Hello Nathrao Sir,
I partially agree sir, but here i would like to share something with my seniors, please correct me if am wrong anywhere,
I want to share that anyone can idolise anyone in this world.
Even I idolise few people, one of them is My first boss, she is an entrepreneur, I also idolise my sister-in-law, she is at her best in her career.Coming back to the point,
the main important point & aspect is to follow someone in life. As following someone you strongly believe in, will make you leader one day (Personally & Professionally), or in the areas your are an expert. So be it a flim star, cricketer, journalist, Parent, any family memeber, infact even a HR Personnel.

Dear Friends,

A lot is being said, the attraction in visual is more implicit, we have Chief Ministers from film industry, we have disciplined ministers from several walks of life, Shri Late Dr Abdul Kalam is the immortal, yet, worshiping the personnel guarding our country in undeniable fact, we cannot ignore the film stars. Some of the stars are putting their hard earned money to the public we may not be aware of them, here, I am not interested to put the names and explanations, we must take the traits and not their life to follow. Smt Sania Mirza the star of the Tennis too have hard work in evolving success, we must not have an intention of doubting their calibre for hard work, concentration, perseverance in moving to the success.

On the other hand we have corrupt politicians they are also examples of democracy how to guard our country from these politicians, there are family full of politics who are fully involved in swindling money by bargaining key posts of our country what are we going to do with these politicians? Are we going to kill them overnight in freeing the country? Can the personnel guarding the country can save us from these corrupted politicians?

So, it is no the way just praising it is the way we are learning the traits the best traits from the good person, who ever it is we must learn.

We see beggers, we see the trusts which claim money falsely for their benefits, yet, the nobel prize winner Shri Kailash Satyarthi is unique for his selfless service to the children these is the trait we must learn to teach the student community for a better future and best life. Where there is a will there is a way "The Mouth and Foot Painting Artists" earn for the life by selling their paintings they are the best examples of self respect living... there are so many a example in our country, yet, let we praise some one boldly come up with the traits in Amitab Bachan, let not we see him a filmy character, if we see it is the fault of the eye and our perception is very very thin and it is a closed ball/circle.

This subject is not for an argument, where ever there is good we should accept it...and where ever there is false we should reject it and have the courage of pinpointing the truth....

best of luck ....
