Can some one distinctly give with an example the difference in role profile and job description, as I have been asked to add role profile to all the JDs. My template consists of Position, Required qualifications and skill set, Key Responsibilities and Job Description. I am unable to understand role profile.

You have to start with your Organization chart to make a Role Profile.
Since you have asked for an example please see the following.
Role : Maintenance Manager
Organizational grade: Management 3 ( M3)
Reports to: Works Manager – Management 2( M2)
Superior reports to: Unit Head- Management (M1)
Direct Reportees: Maintenance Engineers ( Electrical/ Mechanical/ Instrumentation)
Indirect Reportees: 12
Educational Qualification: BE (Mechanical)
Additional Qualification: MBA
Experience: 10 years
Since you have already made the JD,I have not explained the same.
