Here's a suggestion :
1. Create a database with the birthdates of all the employee.
2. Assign a team- birthday team to take care of the celebration.
3. For the celebration, you can ask all the team members to contribute and buy a cake and a card [ gift if it allows you]
4. On the day , you can forward a congratulatory mail to the birthday baby, send it to all the team members, so that every body can wish him or her.
5. You can ask the birthday team to decorate the workstation of the birthday baby.
If you have some more more creative idea. Please share.
