I am MBA HR fresher and am going to get a job in account assistant. My question is if I do now this job and in future when i'll search HR job it will hamper my career.And one more thing i have done a one and half year course on a financial accounting system. Please give me advise.

It may hamper. If you look for HR jobs latter, the employers may not count this experience and you may have to start from the scratch. Secondly, it may reflect poorly of your aptitude for HR and your unceratin views about your career.These are the factors that may raise doubts in employers minds while screening your CV.Even if you start with arecruitment consultant, it may be relevant to HR. Try for generalist HR position. or recruiment job with sprinkling of administratiion. That will be found relevant when you go for core HR jobs latter.

Yes,I totally agree with Mr.B.Saikumar.I would like to add one more things is instead of going in Finance and Accounts filed,you have best option to choose HR Filed.HR field is more interesting rather than Finance and Accounts.If you have degree in MBA HR it is more preferable.If you looking for job in Finance and Accounts more and more company wants Charted Accounts only instead of MBA in Finance.
So please choose HR as a best career option.

Saikumar ji and Vaibhav ji both of you rightly said. I'm interested in HR job than account but I I have been attending many interviews for last 6months, not getting any chance in HR job . Somebody is saying you are fresher, somebody is saying not good your communication, somebody (consulting firm) is demanding money. Sir what i should do now.

Do not get disheartened by 'fresher' remarks. All those who are now experience were once fresher only (saas bhi Kabhi bahu thi). Therefore you will definitely get your chance. You need to make some efforts fom your side.In my view, you can take the following steps to improv eyour chances of employability.
1) Be positive. It may sound emty.Why you need to be postive is unless you are positive, you will not keep expecting good and unless you keep expecting good, you will not make efforts and unless you make efforts, you will not hit your target. Remenber, for every fresher, there is a palce to work.You need to find it through your efforts.You will find the thing you want unless you seek it. By harbouring thoughts like 'freshers cannot find job', you will stop making effots. An employer needs different kinds of man power to suit different needs of his. It is not that he only needs expeienced personnel. An experienced peson may not be willing to do an entry level job or trainees' job and therefore an employer needs freshers to do entry level jobs. Therefor ebide for time, you will get it.
2) You must have got some feed back about yourself from the interviews, you attended. For example some one told you to impiove your communication. start working on it. In HR, communication is an esential tool.Work on any other feed back recived by you.
3) Some one said sincere people work and smart people net- work. But be sincere and smart too. Contact your friends who are already in some comapany and enquire whether they can refer your case.Also go through your inner circle to find some one who has right connections with HR, like any relative.If so try to activate the net work.
4) See whether your professors in the college are of any help.
5) If you are not getting any core HR job in reputed company, try small companies where it is relatively easy to get in. Do not focus much on pay package now.Money will flow to you latter.
6) Public sector banks, Insurance companies and other public sector undertakings are regularly advertising HR post. Apply for them.
7) Kolkata is a big metro and there will not be any scarcity of posts and people. It is a great advantage for you to be in Kolkata when compared to people graduating from smaller cities.Make use of this advantage.It is half battle won for you.

Listen to me it is not a question of whether HR is good field or Accounts is a good field.
Listen to my story which is very well related to your story, in 2004 i completed by BCom and was searching a job and doing all odd jobs small secretary / office assistant jobs , then i got an opportunity with a very Big MNC as HR assistant and joined in that company, the HR motivated me to complete my PGDHRM from Symbiosis through distance learning in flat 2 years first attempt, but then started my woes, i was not at all able to get a proper HR job, almost all jobs in HR were full or whenever opening comes it gets filled up internally, actually if you see there is nothing in HR ,any person can do HR, but not all can do accounts, then after working as admin / secretary assistant i was just working and frustrated with my job not knowing what to do as i was not getting a good HR job, a HR generalist job inspite of having experience in HR, then like you i got one opportunity in accounts, i applied and now i am working as accounts assistant in one govt organisation, my basic qualification bcom is now providing me my bread and butter and from past one year i have learnt lot in accounts , taxation etc etc salary etc etc everything is in accounts, my pay is also good ,, since you dont have any job in hand instead of waiting take a jump do a different job if you dont like it then you can change but accounts is not a bad field accounts people have got lot of powers in passing bills and payments and all. IF you feel you should wait more time for dream job then wait else if the salary in accounts job is good then go for it.
As vaibhav is telling that finance company jobs prefer CA that is only one part of accounts, not every accountant is a CA, but ever Bcom, ICWA, CA, CS, MCOM is an accountant. , not all people workign in HR have done MBA from IIMs ????? some are Bcom , MBA, PGDHRM etc, hope everyone gets the point.
As far as about the jobs of PSU is concerned you better start preparing for competittive exams

to me for my communication but i'm trying to overcome it. I'm sure if i get proper association, proper environment definitely i could not face such problems. Anyway, my some working friends are saying you'll not be face any problem.

Sahely, It is not the question of comparing which function is better than the other because for running an organisation, all functions are essential like adminitration,HR finance, marketing and material managment etc. and it is not every one can do any job. One needs to have right attitude and aptitude for a specific job.So far as HR is concerned, it is not every one's cup of tea. One should have good communication skills, problem solving skills and analytical skills, good interperosanal skills and presentation skills and great emotional intelligence since HR has to deal with people with emotions, feelings and sentiments and aspirations which need to be taken care of by HR by proper HR practices and initiatives as well as some sound knowledge of labour laws as HR has to take care of statutory compliances and cannot tinker with them as they invite penal conequences.All these keep HR on tight leash and on it's toes always.

Being an HR professional, I agree with B. Saikumar's opinion in principle.
However, it being a matter of your career and livelihood - both in short and long-term perspective; its advisable to have an open and practical view-point.
There is some merit in what Kravi has to say, esp. the following :

There is some truth in it. The perception of people about HR as given here is correct. So, being a fresher there would be a tough competition as small organizations think (erroneously) that anyone can do an HR job. Whereas, its true that not everyone can do Fin/Accounts.
So since you have a relevant degree in financial accounting, you can opt for it as a 'filler' / short-time engagement; as you keep looking for a proper HR job.
A short stint in Fin or accounting shall make you sharper and acclimatized to thee working of an organization; and hopefully dilute the label of a 'fresher'. Being employed in Fin/Accts would look better in your CV than drawing a blank.
Do work hard, and you"ll understand the linkages of HR with Finance, which will benefit you later in your career.
