Dear Anil,
You have asked this query but then you could have clarified whether you have asked this query for your own company or for your client?
"Logistics" is vast subject. It includes transportation, container movement etc. Other related subjects like purchasing, shipping and freight forwarding is also sometimes included ion "logistics" though these are not necessarily part of logistics.
Therefore, please clarify what kind of logistics operations you have and what challenges you face.
I have conducted training for FedEx and from my past experience I can say that process training is most important for the logistics. FedEx became successful because they have defined their processes to the last detail. You may do so. This will bring uniformity in operations of your branches or stations.
Thanks,

Dear Anil,
The four areas that you have mentioned are independent of each other. Of course, I doubt whether there is any difference between first two. If it is there I am not aware. Nevertheless, you need to create your own Service Reference Guide (SRG) and training should be there on how to use SRG. Secondly, you need to create process, sub-process for every process if required. You should measure the cycle time of every process or sub-process.
For Sl No 3 i.e. warehousing, I conduct the training. This is also a vast subject. I need to know how many warehouses you have and what material is moved through these warehouse.
The last one, i.e. Transportation is also vast subject. This is where you may get lot of headache. Creating uniform operations across the branches will be the key to your success.
What type of software do you use? You should also conduct training on the software. Possibly Manhattan could be the right software for you.
Thanks,
Dinesh V Divekar
